“Whether you’re on site or remote, everybody should have the same information.”

Christian Strömblad, VP Product Development, Regin

Regin delivers smart building solutions to customers around the world, helping them save both energy and engineering time.

To manage complex product development across multiple teams and locations, the Regin team needed a better way to plan, align, and act together. The old approach with analog whiteboards was not enough.

“There are always remote participants in our planning meetings — and they were completely left out,” Christian explains. “We needed a setup where everyone, in-room or remote, could share the same overview and contribute equally.”

Two persistent boards, one shared workspace

Regin now uses TeamTablet Flex as a central planning hub, mounted in a shared space where everyone naturally passes by during the day.

Two visual boards are always active:

  • Resource & Priorities Board – where people and ongoing projects are mapped using magnets and digital notes. It helps the team decide where to put their efforts based on current priorities.
  • Project Follow-up Board – with traffic light indicators that reflect timeline status and delivery risk.
“It’s visible all day, so even if you weren’t in the meeting, you can check what’s going on.”

The setup supports Regin’s weekly project stand-ups, where some team members are on site, and others join remotely.

Says Christian: “No training is needed. The threshold is low. Anyone can contribute — and they do.”

Simple. Focused. Integrated.

Every project is represented by a digital note. Project members are visualized using magnets.

For more in-depth planning, the team uses tools like Miro and Target Process, but for team-wide alignment, Christian prefers the simplicity of the TeamTablet whiteboard.

“The limited canvas keeps us focused. It’s fast and visual — precisely what we need for staying aligned.”

Today, Christian sometimes overlays external tools during meetings.

"In the future, I’d love to drag tickets directly on the board," he adds.

A platform for shared understanding

Whether it is resource balancing, project steering, or visualizing priorities, Regin’s team planning is now more transparent, collaborative, and hybrid-ready.

“It really is about shared understanding.”

Thanks to TeamTablet Flex, everyone at Regin — in the room or remote — now shares the same view.

“This approach reflects our commitment to continuous innovation in building automation, and supports our product development goals of faster time-to-market and improved quality.”
